Clay and Glazes for Pottery
PLEASE READ: As you know, if you use our clay (clay you bought here from us) for your project, you can also use our glazes, underglazes, and stains for that project at no charge.
If you use your own clay, you have to pay for the use of our glazes, underglazes, and stains. Simply do as usual, follow the directions on the "Glaze calculator" in the corner of where the pottery wheels are (photo added for reference) for your project, and calculate for each separately: Glaze, underglaze and stain.
The clay we carry for members Minnesota Clay Gray #3 in 25 lb block OR recycled pugged clay by the pound.
Glazes, Stoke and Coat, Stains, and underglazes are all treated as the same thing - you’re adding a glaze.
Feel free to leave a note if you have a request regarding where we should leave your clay if you are purchasing when a staff member isn’t present, or if you are buying before you arrive.
