Gnome experience necessary! 😄
This is a perfect beginner class for anyone who has been curious about glass fusion. We’ll learn the basics while creating an adorable fused-glass gnome of your own!
Your finished gnome can be made to hang or mounted on a stake to tuck into a flowerpot or garden. You’ll choose your own colors and can add decorative details such as dots, stripes, and other glass embellishments to give your gnome plenty of personality.
Once your design is complete, we’ll tack-fuse it in the kiln for you. Because the project requires kiln firing and a little finishing work, completed gnomes will be ready to pick up the following week.

Time: 6:00–8:30 pm-ish
Number of class sessions: 1
Materials: All materials and supplies are provided to create a piece similar to those pictured.
Ages: Appropriate for adults and accompanied children ages 14 and older.

Different types of fused glass, glass materials, and commonly used tools
How to plan a simple fused-glass design
How to cut glass into accurate shapes
How to add decorative glass elements to create your design
Basic kiln-firing principles, including gradually ramping up the temperature, tack-fusing temperatures, annealing, and controlled cooling. No actual kiln operation is required during class. We take care of the firing for you!
