2/25 Glass Fusion - Suncatcher

We will be learning the art of glass fusion and making a suncatcher for any season!

We will be cutting a 3” x 5.5” piece of clear glass, adding decorative elements, placing a hanger in the top, and contour fusing it in the kiln to create a suncatcher.

All materials and supplies are provided to create a piece similar to those pictured. Please see the above link for ideas to help you plan your design.
Ages:
This class is appropriate for adults and children 15 and over.

Students will learn:

  1. Safety precautions and tips for success.

  2. Different types of glass fusion, glass, and tools used in the art of glass fusion.

  3. How to plan and execute your design for your project

  4. How to cut glass.

  5. Apply decoration in various forms to create a design.

  6. How to prep for kiln firing and complete the design.

By signing up for this class, you agree to adhere to all safety precautions

This project requires a kiln firing and some assembly, so participants may pick up their completed project the following week.
