Join us to learn free motion quilting! Learn what fun it is to quilt with a freeform style, or using patterns. You will learn how to set up your sewing machine, choose thread needles, and designs for surface quilting.

Dates: Mon, November 16th, Wed, November 18th, and Fri November 20th
Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm
This 3-session class is appropriate for adults with some sewing or quilting experience.
What to bring:
You will need a regular sewing machine and manual, with a darning or free motion quilting foot, and acrylic extension table if you have one. We have extra machines at the Lab so if you don’t have these items, let us know.
A yard of solid color fabric.
Two pieces of batting about 18”x22” each.
Matching thread and contrasting thread.
Do you have lots of unfinished quilts? Not sure how to start the finishing steps of free motion quilting on your sewing machine? You will learn how to set up your sewing machine, choose thread needles, and designs for surface quilting.
We will start with practice sandwiches. On the last class we will plan how you would quilt a small project you already have pieced or a preprinted fabric.
This 3-session class is appropriate for adults with some sewing experience.
