If you have always wanted to learn to quilt, this is the class for you! Having the right tools and a little help and you too can make any quilted object. You will learn the basics of choosing fabrics, colors ,rotary cutting, piecing techniques, binding and a few options for quilting the three layers together.
Some items are available at the Art Lab to use, but generally, you will need:
A working sewing machine (some available in the Art Lab), a rotary cutter and mat (may use ours if you don’t have), and a 6”x24’ acrylic ruler (may use those in the lab if you don’t have yet), basic sewing notions: thread, scissors, pins, seam ripper and tape measure (some at lab available for use). You may bring your own quilting.
