English Paper Piecing Quilting can be like therapy in your hands!
This class is a take off from the traditional way of english paper piecing. We will use the familiar shape of the hexagon, but not the traditional way of wrapping fabric around paper shapes. A template is used to cut our oversized pieces of focus fabric, backing and batting. Then construct 8 hexie blocks and hand stitch them together to make a 3D box shape. The method is easy to learn and fun to make many boxes, tote bags or even a quilt. EPP is very portable and can be accomplished while waiting for an appointment, on a long car ride, or just relaxing in the evening. The finished box can be used as your sewing kit to contain all the materials needed to make another EPP project.
No sewing machine needed! We will be making a hexie soft treasure box. This is great as a gift or to store your own treasures or your Portable Quilting Kit!

Materials: We can provide fabric if you need, but if you would like to choose and bring your own fabrics, please bring:
8 Coordinating fabrics in 5” squares
1 Fat quarter of a yard for the borders
Scraps of batting if you have them
