Create beautiful no-sew fabric art in this relaxing kinusaiga workshop. All materials included, beginner-friendly and fun!
Join instructor Kerry Boese at the Art Lab for a relaxing and creative introduction to kinusaiga, a beautiful Japanese-inspired art form that uses fabric instead of paint or thread. In this beginner-friendly workshop, we’ll create a stunning patchwork-style design by tucking fabric into a foam board - no sewing required. I’ll guide you step-by-step through the process, from planning your design to cutting grooves and layering fabric to bring your piece to life. Plus, you get to keep the tool kit to make more in the future!
Note: There are a variety of designs to choose from - please choose when you add to cart whether you want a non-seasonal design (there will be many non-seasonal designs to choose from, like mushrooms, landscapes, and more!) or which holiday design you would like to make! You can always choose different colors and patterns of fabrics, so that is up to you - there will be many available to use.
Square design will be 8×8” finished with a wood frame included!
This technique is incredibly satisfying and perfect for anyone who loves crafting, texture, and slow, mindful creativity.
