














5/13 Quilting - Mastering Your Stripology Ruler Course
We’re partnering with Highland Quilting and Jennifer Halbur to bring you this class!
Join us as we welcome Certified Stripology Instructor Jennifer Halbur for the the Mastering your Stripology Rulers Course, where you will learn how to get the most out of your Stripology rulers.
We will use the rulers to create half square triangles, quarter square triangles, 60 degree angles, 45 degree angles and the GEasy Flying Geese. In addition, we will cover the basics of cutting strips and sub cutting for the most accurate and accurate efficient cutting.
During class we will create the Back Home table topper from the book, Master Your Stripology Rulers.
Date: Tuesday May 13th
Time: 10a - 4p (6 total hours) Please feel free to bring a lunch or snacks. We have a refrigerator and microwave for you to use. Or, there will be time to grab a quick lunch nearby.
Required supplies:

Cutting mat (We have a few if you don’t have one to bring.)
Sewing Machine in good working order (The Art Lab has 4 machines if you cannot bring one)
Rotary cutter with a fresh blade and any other sewing supplies and thread you like to use. (We have some as well)
Fabric: you’ll need 2-3 FQ (fat quarters) we can use to practice techniques and the supplies to create the Back Home Tabletopper or table runner. (like the one pictured)
Seven (7) Assorted 10” squares
Background: 1 yard
Binding: 1/3 yard
Backing: 1 yard
Everything else will be provided, like irons, scissors, tables, etc.

The book contains all the resources, techniques, and charts to cut strips, diamonds, triangles and more in 1/4in and 1/8in increments. The book shows you great time saving techniques to make half square triangles, quarter square triangles and flying geese. Some simple patterns to try the techniques are also included. The book provides the tools to Stripologize any project you are working on with charts and illustrations. The book is spiral bound so it lies flat for easy reference.
