11/19 Beginner Glass Fusion Class (6" Bowl Project)
A great class for beginners! We will be learning the art of glass fusion and making a 6” bowl with your design added.

Students will learn:
Safety precautions and tips for success.
Different types of glass fusion, glass, and tools used in the art of glass fusion.
How to plan a design for a full-fused glass bowl
How to cut glass to an accurate shape. (a square for this class)
Apply decoration in various forms to create their design.
How to prep for kiln firing and complete the design.
Basic kiln firing principles (no actual kiln work) for full fusing and planning a mold - such as slowly ramping up the heat, a top temp for fusing, the importance of annealing, and cooldown.
By signing up for this class, you agree to adhere to all safety precautions regarding the creation of fused glass. This project requires two kiln firings, so participants may pick up their completed project the following week.
Date: Wednesday 11/19
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:30-ish pm
Number of class sessions: 1
Materials: All materials and supplies are provided.
Ages: This class is appropriate for adults and accompanied children aged 15 and up. Please be aware that this class involves sharp glass edges and glass cutting. Use your discretion & good judgement with involving children.
